Re: Nordtveit...
Sorry, but the priority has to be quality before assessing the cost everytime. I've not been a fan all season and have said so on here in different threads, and am happy to say that he, along with most of the other pre-season arrivals have been fucking hopeless.

Nothing personal, I'm sure he loves his old mum, but I'm certain that he's also acutely aware that it just hasn't worked out this season...

Re: Nordtveit...
Exactly, signed on a free and if a fee was involved we prob wouldn'thave signed him.
The priority is cost.

Re: Nordtveit...
I think everyone forgets or were unaware of the season he had prior to joining us with Borussia Munchengladbach. He was in a very successful side that made the Champions League places, but he was out of contact and signed for us. A club looking like they were on the up.

I blame Bilic and the board for the woeful season, not scapegoats like Nordveit.

Re: Nordtveit...
This bloke sums up the summer transfer dealings better than anyone.

Signed because he was free, no other reason, then the fans were fed a load of bullshit about how great he was, what a coup it was..............and some mugs actually believed it.

Shit player signed by shit owners as he matched their MO of being free.

Hopefully he will fuck off with all of the other shit signings we made in the Summer

Re: Nordtveit...
I just posted on the summer player clear out and listed around 11/12 players, surprisingly I didn't include him because I actually agree. I feel he would be a good player to bring on at times, at CM not RB etc.

He at least deserves a chance in his actual position instead of being left out to dry. Don't get me wrong his performances have been awful, we all remember the Spurs game with his 5 minute cameo, but it was the Antonio at RB situation all over again.

I agree with this. As the season progresses, it seems to be we have a coach instead of a manager.

Re: Nordtveit...
I still think he's probably a good player. Not suited to right back, pretty obviously. Has barely played in either defensive midfield or centre-back, so hard to judge exactly what state he's in now. The story of his season is being played out of position until his confidence was shot, and then being abandoned by the coach. Mis-managed, basically.

Willtell 10:19 Thu Mar 16
Re: Nordtveit...
Then explain why else he doesn't even get on the subs bench let alone off it? He isn't injured and the club is talking about letting him move on in the summer.

What's wrong with my conclusion then?

Sven Roeder 10:14 Thu Mar 16
Re: Nordtveit...
Imagine the Germans would take him and Xhaka back.
We will make a profit, Arsenal will lose about £25m

Re: Nordtveit...
Willtell, what the fuck are you talking about? Laughable comment.

Any manager should know a players ability BEFORE signing him.

Compare him to rest of squad and realise he is shit....hahahahahahahaahahahahahahaahahha

Re: Nordtveit...
Bilic has now had a chance to compare him to the rest of the squad and realised how bad he is...

Re: Nordtveit...
He's not injured and hasn't been in a recent match day squad. He is in the training ground photos taken last Thursday where players seem to be larking about rather than seriously training. After his ignominious performances this season,I think a decision has already been taken to cash in as soon as the summer window opens. It's all profit as he was a freebie. Surely some German club must think he's worth at least a couple of thousand euros.

Re: Nordtveit...
In all this talk of 'bringing in a RB' I think some on here forget that arguably our best performance of the season was at WHL* where we scared the hell out of Tottenham playing wing backs.

Antonio and Cresswell are both effective as wing backs and we have the personnel for a strong back three too.

Personally I would like to see the WB system given more time by Bilic.

*obviously before the absurd substitutions that handed the game to Tottenham.

No collyrob, I wouldn't, I just don't see another pairing he would like up with. I.e. I think he's very similar to obiang. Despite their good points, neither can dictate play enough, like noble (for his flaws)

Nordviet is a bit of strange one.

Good pedigree at AFC...good few yrs at a top kraut outfit.

Turns up at ours and looks two bob.
